One of the simplest easiest ways to deeply nourish yourself is with long infusions of certain herbs. Less expensive and more effective than a multi vitamin, a long infusion will provide large amounts of calcium, magnesium and other minerals that many of us are deficient in and it is many times more absorbable. Herbs that are amenable to long infusions are nettle, red rasberry leaf, oat straw, red clover, burdock root and mullein.
To make an infusion get a ball jar (they are heat tolerant) and fill it about 1/8 with her herb and then add boiling water and put the lid on. Let it steep overnight or for about 8 hours. In the morning strain the herbs out and you can drink it cold or warm it and add honey and milk if you prefer. Store the unused portion in the fridge for up to 48 hours. You may feel like you have more energy after drinking this tea and you may even forgo your morning caffeine! If you do this often you will notice more resiliency and will likely get less colds. Your menstrual cycle may feel more balanced and so will your state of mind. Give it a try, have a cup of tea!
This is an excellent post that has more detailed information about long infusions.
